Saint Max Church

Music Ministry at St. Max

Music Ministers lead our assemblies in sung prayer. The church calls for full and active participation in the liturgy, and we strive to both encourage and model that.  We take our role as ministers, not performers, very seriously to bring out our highest praise and worship in the liturgy. Music has the power to stir our deepest emotions. Through the context of our liturgical worship, our assembly draws from one another, with the assistance of the music ministers, to give to the Lord our joyful sound.

If you enjoy singing or excel in playing a musical instrument, we’d love to hear from you. Our various choirs offer a place for everyone to sing. If you have vocal and choral experience, the Parish Choir eagerly invites you to join and help us grow. Our musically inclined young people are encouraged to give our Youth Choirs a try. Perhaps you can read music well, and would like to ring handbells.  St. Max is blessed with a wide range of music opportunities, and we hold each to a high level of standards and expectations.
