In the Fall of 2022, the estimated cost to build and furnish the Community Room and Meeting Room was $1,500,000. This included the estimated cost to relocate Rachel’s Garden.
The staff overseeing the relocation of the Rachel statue, along with a parishioner advisory team and the contractor, was able to complete this portion of the project for much less. Therefore, the estimated total project cost is now $1,300,000.
In terms of the rest of the expansion, Conger Construction’s work should be completed by the end of December. We hope to begin furnishing the new space after January 1st, depending on how quickly additional donations are received.
With the adjusted goal of $1,300,000 and donations of $929,119, we still need $370,881* in additional donations between now and the end of the year. Check the bulletin for weekly financial updates for Almost Home.
Thank you to the many parishioners who have stepped up and brought us to this point. We are extremely grateful for your support!
This project benefits our entire parish. Please prayerfully consider how this new space will benefit your family, both now and in the future. If you have not yet donated to Almost Home, or can make an additional contribution, we need your help to bring this project to a successful conclusion by the end of 2023.

Since we are adding the new expansion in front of our original main doors, we need a new entrance.
This new entrance will feature a glass-walled atrium creating a bright, welcoming space for our parishioners and guests. The new position also adds direct visibility to the sanctuary and Tabernacle at building entry, reminding us that the Eucharist is the source and summit of our Christian life.
Our new entrance will also include a concrete canopy extending to the current driveway for easy drop-off access, better serving guests with accessibility needs. And while our new entrance shifts things around a bit, we will not lose the amount of handicap parking.
This entrance change also allows more direct access for funeral hearses, elevating the dignity of our funeral services."

The room will also include a sound system , projector and screen.
Our new expansion will provide St. Max with another much-needed large meeting room that will serve our parish in a variety of ways.
Named in honor of our Blessed Mother, the design of this room will be unique among the spaces on our campus. The intention is to have a meeting space with a more formal design, not only in honor Our Lady who deserves the best, but to reflect the function of this room.
