An Evening of Prayer

Discover the Rich Traditions of Christian Spirituality

Tuesday, August 11

7:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Immaculata Room

Whether you are new to prayer or seeking to deepen your spiritual life, this evening offers inspiration and practical insights. The Church has long been enriched by many traditions of prayer, each offering a unique way to encounter God.

Spend an evening exploring four beautiful prayer traditions that have shaped the Church for centuries.

  • Ignatian (Jesuit) – Learning to discern God’s presence and respond to His call

  • Franciscan – Finding joy through creation, simplicity, and gratitude

  • Augustinian – Truth-seeking and a deepening union with God

  • Benedictine – Discovering balance through prayer, work, study, and community

Although each tradition has its own special emphasis, all remind us that prayer is not separate from everyday life – it is the foundation that transforms our hearts and guides our mission as followers of Christ. Come discover a style of prayer which may deepen your own walk with God. No matter where you are on your journey or if you plan to start soon, all are welcome!

Registration is recommended: closes Sunday, August 9 at midnight. Sign up online here or contact DisciplesOnAMission@saint-max.org.
