The typical ages to prepare for these sacraments are 2nd grade for First Penance/First Communion and 8th grade for Confirmation.  If your child is/will be in the 2nd or 8th grade OR you have older children who never celebrated these sacraments, a parent will want to attend one of these REQUIRED meetings. 

Special note: Children need to be current in their religious education to prepare for the sacraments. For example, 2nd graders should have completed 1st grade religious education and 8th graders should have completed at least 7th grade religious education.

These meetings provide an overview of the preparation process at Saint Max, provide the opportunity to get signed up for upcoming preparation sessions and the opportunity to ask questions.
