FUEL is our mainstream formal formation for preschool through grade 8.
About Fuel
Fuel is our conventional formal formation program for youth. There are two Fuel options: Faith on Fire Family Gatherings or Family Home Study.
Choose Fuel if:
Your child will be entering preschool (age 3 by August 1), kindergarten, or will be in first grade in Fall of 2026.
Last year your child completed a full year of formation at a Catholic parish, Catholic school, or was homeschooled with an approved Catholic curriculum.
We encourage all youth who completed OCIA to continue formation with us in the Fuel program.
If you completed the Spark program, then you move into Fuel.

If you have gaps in formation (ex. a child who will be in second grade with no formation) then register for Spark or call the formation office.
Note: Ongoing participation in formal formation (first grade and up) is required for the celebration of the sacraments.

If you desire in-person formation, the 2026-2027 Faith on Fire Family Gathering dates are below. You will choose Sundays (4:30-6:00 pm) or Mondays (6:00-7:30 pm) on the registration form. This option is for parent and child.
Faith on Fire 2026-27 Gathering Dates:
Sept. 27/28, Oct. 11/12, Oct. 25/26, Nov. 8/9, Nov. 22/23, Dec. 6/7, Jan. 10/11, Jan. 24/25, Feb. 7/8, Feb. 21/22, Mar. 7/8, Mar. 21/22.

Fuel and Spark Registration Fees 2026-2027-Reg. opens April 30
Early Bird fee (through 6/30/26): $70/child. Family Max $220
Regular fee: (begins on 7/1/26): $95/child. Family Max $295.Medical forms for each child are required by the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, even if you are doing home study. Upload medical forms onto the registration form, email completed forms to Mary Lou mbaker@saint-max.org or print out and bring to Parish Office.
