SPARK is formal formation for youth in second grade and up missing formation.
About Spark
Spark is a blended learning program where your family completes weekly home study lessons, and you attend our Faith on Fire Family Gatherings during the year. The gatherings are for children and parents.
Choose Spark if:
Your child (entering second grade and up) attends public school or a non-Catholic private school and missed formation last year.
Note: If your child completed formation at another parish last year, attended Catholic school, or was homeschooled with an approved Catholic program, then choose the FUEL program.
Note: Ongoing participation in formal formation (first grade and up) is required for celebration of the sacraments.

While you are working through your weekly Spark lessons at home, you and your child will also attend our Faith on Fire Gatherings. You will have the choice of Sundays (4:30-6:00) or Mondays (6:00-7:30 pm) on the registration form.
2026-2027 Faith on Fire Gathering dates: Sept. 27/28, Oct. 11/12, Oct. 25/26, Nov. 8/97, Nov. 22/23, Dec. 6/7, Jan. 10/11, Jan. 24/25, Feb. 7/8, Feb. 21/22, Mar. 7/8 Mar. 21/22.

Fuel and Spark Registration Fees 2026-2027-Reg. opens April 30
Early Bird fee (through 6/30/26): $70/child. Family Max $220
Regular fee (begins on 7/1/26): $95/child. Family Max $295.Medical forms for each child are required by the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, even if you are doing home study. Upload medical forms onto the registration form, email completed forms to Mary Lou mbaker@saint-max.org or print out and bring to Parish Office.
