Celebrate the Sacrament of Baptism

The Church baptizes both children and adults, along different pathways.

The baptism of children from infancy until about age 7 takes place several times each month, outside of Mass on Sundays.  Normally, infants are baptized soon after birth, but older children can be baptized as well.

Because, like all sacraments, baptism is a communal event, we do not schedule “private” baptisms.

The baptism of adults normally takes place annually at the Easter Vigil, the highpoint of a multi-year process called the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults.
