Welcome to St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church
St. Vincent de Paul Society
Coffee at St. Vincent’s
Every year the Society of St. Vincent de Paul makes more than 6,700 visits to
the homes of needy families in the Cincinnati area and helps thousands of people
with basic necessities like food, clothing and medicine. It is a wonderful
feeling to see the excitement on a child’s face when picking out a warm winter
coat or the gratitude of an elderly person receiving a bed.
The St. Vincent de Paul thrift stores are an essential part of our ministry,
providing basic necessities without charge to families in great need. In order
to better serve our community, a new St. Vincent de Paul thrift store is opening
in the Mason Town Center, 1065 Reading Rd., near the corner of Route 42 and
Western Row. Volunteer opportunities are abundant.
Come learn more about St. Vincent de Paul’s mission and opportunities to
participate in this life-changing ministry during a Coffee Morning Orientation
at our Mason Town Center location on any of the following dates:
• 9am – 10am Friday, April 4, 2008
• 9am – 10am Wednesday, April 9, 2008
• 9am – 10am Wednesday, April 16, 2008
Please register with Sarah at sgerrety@svdpcincinnati.org or 513-562-8841 ext
217.
We would also be happy to schedule a session especially for your group at a
convenient time of day or evening. Please call Sarah at 513-562-8841, ext. 217
to arrange a time that works for your schedule.
A small sampling of ways you can make a difference include:
• Help prepare the store to open. During the next 4-6 weeks, we can use your
help putting shelves together, stocking, hanging clothing, merchandising, etc.
This is a great group activity for Scouts, prayer groups, Youth Groups and any
other individual or gathering of people who care about helping the needy. You
choose the hours Monday – Saturday 9am to 8pm.
• After the grand opening we will still need help keeping the Mason stores
clean, inviting and exciting. Individuals and groups are needed to sort
donations, create displays, straighten and stock the store. You choose the hours
Monday – Saturday 9am to 8pm.
• We can only give in the measure we receive! Your gently-used clothing,
furniture and household items can be dropped off at any of our locations or call
(513) 451-CARE to schedule a pick up. OR, help us place a St. Vincent de Paul
donation box at your parish so donations can be made conveniently by
parishioners when they attend Mass or drop the kids off at school.
