Welcome to St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church

Knights of Columbus Council #11355

For information on joining our council please contact our
Grand Knight, Dale Bottoms @ 896-6802,
Deputy Grand Knight, Bob Hudson @ 860-5085,
or Membership Director Harry VanLoveren @ 755-1468.

Imagine being part of an organization that fills your heart and your mind with the joy of giving to others and the feeling that comes with making a difference. Knights are Catholic men, 18 years of age and older, who are committed to making their community a better place, while supporting their Church. Being a Knight is more than camaraderie; it is being involved with your community; it is supporting your local Catholic Church, while enhancing your own faith; it is about protecting and enhancing your family life.

A History of the Knights of Columbus

Locally, our council has been in existence for over 11 years and performs charitable works in the parish and the surrounding communities. Some of our charitable works have been to provide meals for CHOSN; donate money to the local Butler County MRDD; and work with the Transitional Living program in Butler County. In our parish we donate money to various organizations such as Women's Faith Formation and the Prayer Shawl Ministry. Our membership consists of over 85 Catholic Gentlemen and is growing.

UNITED IN CHARITY

Supreme Knight Carl A. Anderson has stated: "Our objective is to perpetuate the good works of the Order with Supreme Council resources, the endorsement of our jurisdictions and the faithful support of our members."

In 2004 Knights donated more than $135 million to charity, an all-time high. Over the past decade, the Knights of Columbus has donated $1.174 billion and provided in excess of 560 million hours of volunteer effort in support of charitable causes.

But the needs of many charities remain unmet. That's why Knights of Columbus Charities is making its long-term commitment to building an endowment through United in Charity.
