Roman Missal
Minimize

In November of 2011, the English-speaking Church welcomed a new translation of the Roman Missal, the texts we use for Mass.  This has been one of the most significant changes to the Church's liturgy since Vatican II.

This has required - obviously - learning and praying with new words at Mass, but has also been an opportunity to deepen our participation in the Eucharistic liturgy itself.

Stay tuned to this page for news, resources, information, and events related to the implementation of the
Roman Missal.

Mystagogical Reflection on the Roman Missal
Minimize

Explore this site for some mystagogical reflection on the prayers of the Mass for each season, Sunday, and other holy days.

Mystagogical reflection is an ancient practice of the Church, by which we reflect upon our liturgical experiences, recalling our experience. Through this reflection upon the Christian mysteries - the sacraments, the Paschal Mystery, God's own life - we can grow in faith and participate more fully in the liturgy.

These wonderful reflections by nationally known theologians, scholars, liturgists, and clergy can help you pray with the newly-translated texts of the Mass.
